Course: BPS2453 Chemical Safety
An Industry Co-Lecture session was successfully organized by Dr. Nur Syafiqah Binti Fauzan, Course Coordinator from the Occupational Safety and Health Program. The session featured Ir. Nimi Binti Ahmad, an experienced Occupational Safety and Health Consultant and Trainer, as the Guest Speaker.
The online session focused on Simple Risk Assessment and Control for Chemicals (SiRAC), providing students with practical knowledge on identifying chemical hazards, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate control measures in the workplace. The guest speaker shared valuable real examples, enabling students to better understand the application of SiRAC in actual occupational settings.
The lecture was informative and encouraged active participation through question-and-answer sessions between the speaker and the students. This interactive approach enhanced students’ understanding of chemical risk assessment principles and their importance in ensuring workplace safety and health compliance.
