Pada 19 November 2025, satu program Service Learning Malaysia – University for Society (SULAM) telah berjaya dilaksanakan oleh 30 orang pelajar kursus BSP3173 Corrosion, Program Teknologi Bahan, Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri (FSTI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). Program ini juga melibatkan 6 orang staf FSTI dengan kerjasama pihak SMK Pelabuhan, Kuantan.

Program Latihan “Psychosocial Risk Assessment in the Workplace: Application of DOSH PRisMA Guidelines 2024”

Program latihan bertajuk “Psychosocial Risk Assessment in the Workplace: Application of DOSH PRisMA Guidelines 2024” telah berjaya dijalankan oleh Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri (FSTI), UMPSA pada 21 November 2025. Latihan ini melibatkan seramai 23 peserta daripada program Sarjana Muda Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan dengan Kepujian (BPS) dan Diploma Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (DRO).

Materials Selection & Processing Students Engage with Industry Speaker

Gambang, 19 November 2025 – Twenty-four BSP4172 students joined an online co-lecturing session on Materials Selection and Processing with an invited industry alumna. The speaker, Ms Nor Fashilin binti Azahar, graduated from the Bachelor of Applied Science Material Technology with Honours programme at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah.

14 November 2025 – Bengkel “Basic Lab Skill” telah berjaya dianjurkan di makmal Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri dengan penyertaan seramai 16 orang pelajar tahun akhir program Teknologi Bahan serta dibimbing oleh 4 orang pengajar berpengalaman. Bengkel ini diketuai oleh Prof. Madya Dr. Mohamad Ashry Jusoh (Pensyarah/Penyelaras Projek Tahun Akhir), bersama barisan tenaga pengajar iaitu En. Khairul Affendi (Penolong Pegawai Sains), Cik Atiqah Abd Rahim (Pegawai Sains), dan Cik Nurfatin Nabilah Abd Hafidz (Pelajar Pascasiswazah).

Politeknik Nilai, 13 November 2025 – Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri (FSTI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) telah melaksanakan Program Fakulti@Institusi bersama 56 pelajar Diploma Bioteknologi Politeknik Nilai. Program ini melibatkan barisan pensyarah FSTI iaitu Dr. Nazira binti Mahmud, Dr. Nor Adila binti Mhd Omar, Dr. Ahmad Mahfuz bin Gazali, dan Dr. Mohd Azwan bin Jenol.

10 November 2025 – Industry Co-Lecture

Course: BPS2453 Chemical Safety

An Industry Co-Lecture was successfully organized by Dr. Nur Syafiqah Binti Fauzan, Course Coordinator from the Occupational Safety and Health Program. The session featured Mrs. Nurul Syuhada Abdullah, Occupational, Health, Safety and Environment (OSHE) Manager from Sunway Group Berhad, as the Guest Speaker.

The Career Talk for Year 4 Industrial Chemistry students was held on 8 October 2025 at the Library Auditorium, UMPSA. Four invited speakers from the public sector, academia and industry were featured in the session. The invited speakers were ChM. Mr. Mohamad Hanif Bin Omar (Deputy Director, Department of Chemistry Malaysia, Pahang), ChM. Ts. Dr. Thomas Wun Wee Long (Managing Director/Environmental Consultant, TW Environmental Sdn. Bhd.), ChM. Ts. Dr. Shamsul Bin Zakaria (Senior Lecturer, UMPSA), and Mr. Lai Yew Chong (Assistant Manager/Technical Services, KLK Oleochemicals Malaysia). The speakers shared valuable insights and professional advice, providing students with meaningful exposure to career opportunities in the chemistry field.

Satu sesi Kuliah Bersama Pensyarah Industri telah diadakan oleh Dr. Ahmad Mahfuz bin Gazali untuk para pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Muda Bioteknologi Industri yang sedang mengambil kursus Genetics (BSB2122) secara atas talian. Sesi tersebut bermula pada jam 8 malam dan diisi oleh Dr Kumar Veerapen, Associate Director, Takeda Pharmaceuticals.

FIST Students Inspired by Industry Expert on Water Treatment Innovation

Gambang, 28 October 2025 — The Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FIST), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), hosted an industrial co-lecture for BSB2193 Industrial Microbiology featuring ChM. Ts. Dr. Thomas Wun Wee Leong, Managing Director and Environmental Consultant of TW Environmental Sdn. Bhd.
In his talk titled “Empowering Future Innovators: The Role of Science Students in Advancing the Water Treatment Industry,” Dr. Thomas highlighted the importance of science students in driving innovation through research, process optimization, and sustainable environmental practices.
