Mudball Workshop Held at Reagent International School in Collaboration with FIST UMPSA

On 6 May 2025, Reagent International School in Kuantan hosted an engaging Mudball Workshop in collaboration with the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FIST), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). Organised by Ms. Jegathiswary and Ms. Ery Manshor from the STEM Club, the workshop aimed to promote environmental awareness among students through the hands-on preparation of eco-friendly mudballs  using effective microorganisms (EM), soil, and rice bran to help clean polluted water bodies.

The event was supported by FIST lecturers Ts. Dr. Nurul 'Azyyati binti Sabri, Dr. Kamrul Fakir bin Kamarudin, Dr. Khairiah binti Mohd Mokhtar, Ts. Dr. Lee Chin Mei, and Mdm. Nurul Nadiah binti Hamidon as well as students who actively contributed to the success of the workshop. Technical support was provided by Mr. Mohd Farid bin Jaafar. The collaboration reflected the shared commitment of both institutions to environmental education, community engagement, and science-driven outreach. This program is also part of the CDU grant initiative (CDU240156 Citizen Scientist: Know Your Water Quality).
