Nurul Aqilah Successfully Defends Master’s Thesis on Eco-Friendly Polymer Electrolytes

20 April 2026 | UMPSA Gambang

Congratulations to Nurul Aqilah binti Abd Wahab on the successful defense of her Master’s thesis entitled:

“Studies on Ionic Conduction Properties of Alginate-PVA Based Polymer Blend Electrolytes Doping with Potassium Carbonate via Impedance Approach.”

The viva voce was conducted online and chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuhani Yusof, with Ts. Dr. Nurjannah Salim serving as the secretariat. The examination panel comprised Ts. Dr. Muhammad Hafiz Mazwir as the internal examiner and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azwani Sofia Ahmad Khiar (USIM) as the external examiner.

The research was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Salihin Samsudin.

Her study focuses on enhancing ionic conductivity using environmentally friendly alginate-PVA based polymer blend electrolytes doped with potassium carbonate. The findings highlight the potential of these materials for applications in energy-related technologies.

During the session, Nurul Aqilah demonstrated a strong understanding of her research and responded confidently to the questions posed by the examiners. The viva session proceeded smoothly with constructive discussions and valuable feedback from the panel.
