UMP merupakan platform yang sangat tepat buat mahasiswa atau bakal graduan bagi membentuk jati daridiri yang hebat dan seimbang baik daripada segi kemahiran ilmiah mahupun kemahiran insaniah (softskill). Sebagai salah seorang alumni UMP yang dilahirkan daripada Fakulti FSTI, Saya boleh katakan fakulti tersebut merupakan batu loncatan yang besar buat saya. Dorongan dan sokongan yang sangat konsisten dari para pensyarah juga merupakan antara sebab yang tak dapat dinafikan bagaimana seseorang alumni seperti saya juga mampu berjaya di peringkat universiti hingga ke kerjaya. Saya juga mampu menggunakan segala ilmu yang pernah dicurahkan kepada saya sehingga mampu melahirkan ramai jurutera muda yang hebat & setanding dengan jurutera bertaraf dunia. Saya selalu berpegang pada prinsip “if we want to grow, we must grow other people as well!”. Dan itulah antara sifat yang diajar oleh pensyarah2 FSTI

Tanpa platform yang tepat dan sokongan yang jitu, saya mungkin tidak akan berada di tempat di mana saya mampu berdiri teguh sekarang. Terima kasih UMP & FSTI!

As an alumni of Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology (FIST) in Material Technology for four years, I knew my decision to pursue in UMP is the best decision I had made. The fact that I was an active student involved in many programs and held several leadership positions such as President of Enactus, UMP provide the best platform to encourage and expose the students with these positive traits. The teaching and research facility in UMP very conducive and ideal environment for student to study effectively. Subject offered by course of Applied Science in Material Technology advantageous for my career and fulfill the needs of industry. During my studies, I was expose to actual industry by my lecturer’s initiative to sharpen our skill of marketability. These skill and exposure do help me to stand out among others.

UMP banyak mengajar saya menjadi seorang yang lebih berkeyakinan dlm mencuba apa saja sama ada dari segi akademi & kokurikulum. Pensyarah terutama dari fakulti FSTI adalah insan hebat yang sentiasa memberi galakan dan sokongan untuk semua mahasiswa melalui pelbagai program dan sesi. Tanam pada diri,”be confident or ‘act’ to be. Everything will become possible”

As I finally decided to pursue my study on June 2011, UMP really offer their best to provide conducive environment for research, teaching and consultation. As the first choice of technological university, I feel glad being part of the UMP components so as to fulfill the needs of industry, research world as well as to contribute to the country’s overall development.

Meskipun UMP merupakan sebuah institusi yang dikenali sebagai institusi berteraskan kejuruteraan, namun UMP juga menawarkan peluang yang terbaik untuk graduan sains. Sebagai pioneer jurusan Bioteknologi Industri, Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology (FIST) telah banyak membantu saya dalam meningkatkan daya saing untuk menyusuri dasar ekonomi yang berteraskan bioteknologi. Pelbagai program yang dianjurkan FIST sangat membantu mencorak kerjaya saya sekarang.

As a student, I was an active member of the debate society and held several leadership position such as the President of SCITEXS. As a debater, I was exposed to economics, finance and law making me interested in the field and later decided to be practicing in finance line. I'm attached with PwC since 2013 and given my academics background in Industrial Sciences, I've been assigned to engage with clients related to oilfield services, independent power plant and utilities. I believe that my four years in UMP had contributed to me in performing my job and giving better service to my clients.
