6 Mac 2026 | UMPSA Gambang
Congratulations to Ainur Balqis binti Radzi for successfully defending her Master’s thesis entitled:
“Occurrences, Physical Characteristics, and Estimated Daily Intake Through Inhalation of Airborne Microplastics in Daycare Centres in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.”
The viva voce was held online on 6 March 2026. The session was chaired by Prof. Madya Dr. Azrina binti Abd Aziz, with Ts. Dr. Mohammad Adam bin Adman serving as the Internal Examiner and Prof. Madya Dr. Mila Tejamaya from Universitas Indonesia as the External Examiner. The panel commended Ainur for her clear presentation and strong understanding of her research.
During the session, Ainur confidently presented her findings and responded thoughtfully to the questions raised by the examiners. Her research investigates the presence and physical characteristics of airborne microplastics in daycare centres and estimates children’s daily exposure through inhalation. The study highlights an emerging environmental health concern and contributes valuable insight into potential risks associated with microplastic exposure in indoor environments.
Special appreciation goes to her supervisor, Dr. Norhidayah binti Abdull, for her guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the research journey.
Congratulations to Ainur Balqis on this significant milestone. We wish her continued success in her future academic and professional endeavors.
