UMPSA Students Arrive in Kazakhstan for KazNARU International Summer School 2026

31 May 2026 | Almaty, Kazakhstan

Three students from the Industrial Biotechnology programme, Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FIST), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), have safely arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the KazNARU International Summer School 2026 at Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU).

The students, Nur Aisyah Jasmine binti Zakaria, Nurhanis Izzati binti Mohammad Rafali, and Maisarah binti Norizan, will participate in the two-week programme from 1 to 14 June 2026. The programme provides a valuable platform for international academic exposure, cultural exchange, and networking opportunities with students and academics from around the world.

The delegation is accompanied by Dr. Hanida Abdul Aziz, Deputy Dean (Academic and International), and Dr. Nazira Mahmud, Head of the Department of Biological Sciences. In addition to supporting the students throughout the programme, both representatives will engage in discussions with their KazNARU counterparts regarding the coordination of the dual degree programme and explore strategic initiatives to further strengthen academic collaboration, student mobility opportunities, and institutional partnerships between the two universities.

This participation reflects UMPSA’s ongoing commitment to internationalisation and the development of globally competent graduates through meaningful international engagement and cross-cultural learning experiences.

FIST wishes the delegation a productive, successful, and enriching experience throughout their stay in Kazakhstan.
