A lecturer from the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FIST), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Ts. Dr. Azizan Ramli, has co-authored a new book titled “Introduction to Emergency Tabletop Exercise (TTX) for Beginners.”

The publication is a collaborative effort between academia and industry, co-written with Tuan Muhammad Hidayat Ismail, General Manager of Malaysia Airport Fire and Rescue Service, and Tuan Mohd Zainoor Annuar, an Emergency Management Consultant.

The book serves as a practical guide to Emergency Tabletop Exercises (TTX), which are widely used as simulation tools to enhance organizational preparedness in managing emergency situations. It introduces fundamental concepts and structured approaches for planning and conducting effective emergency simulations.

By integrating academic knowledge with real-world field experience, the book offers accessible yet practical insights suitable for students, government agencies, and industry practitioners, particularly in the fields of safety, health, and environment (HSE).

In addition, the publication emphasizes the development of effective emergency response strategies, supporting organizations in strengthening their preparedness and resilience in the face of potential risks.

This publication reflects FIST’s ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge and promoting best practices in emergency management across both academic and industrial domains.
