Bridging Theory and Practice: Business Continuity at Toyota Boshoku UMW

A co-lecture session for the BPS3713 – Business Continuity Plan course was conducted on 9th June 2025, featuring an insightful talk titled “Bridging Theory and Practice: Business Continuity at Toyota Boshoku UMW.” The session, coordinated by Dr. Khairiah binti Mohd Mokhtar, was conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The session was enriched by the presence of Encik Fahmi bin Kurasin, Head of Human Resources Administration at Toyota Boshoku UMW Sdn. Bhd., who shared valuable insights into how the Toyota Production System supports business continuity strategies within the organization.

Students gained practical knowledge on aligning HR operations with business continuity efforts, learning how industry-leading practices help companies like Toyota Boshoku maintain resilience during disruptions.

This initiative reflects UMPSA’s commitment to enhancing industry-academia collaboration and preparing students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in real-world environments.
