FSTI Industry Co-Lecture: BSK 3103 - Organic Spectroscopy

NMR Application in Organic Spectroscopy

On 10 June 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology Industry (FSTI) successfully conducted an Industry Co-Lecture session for the BSK 3103 – Organic Spectroscopy course. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Teh Chin Hoe, a guest speaker from Bruker, Malaysia and was held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The session, attended by 31 participants, included an overview of the NMR spectrometer hardware, the basic principles of NMR, key observables such as chemical shifts, coupling, and intensity, as well as practical examples. Organized with materials from Bruker, the session provided valuable insights into both the theoretical and practical applications of NMR in analyzing organic compounds (CO–LECTURING INDUSTRI BAGI KURSUS ORGANIC SPECTROSCOPY (BSK3103)-20250610_055123-Meeting Recording.mp4)

The session featured active participation from students and faculty members, fostering engagement with real-world analytical techniques in organic chemistry. This collaboration with industry experts is FSTI’s commitment to enhancing educational relevance and preparing students for professional scientific challenges.
