Date: May 14, 2025
Today, students from BSP3543 Thin Films Technology from Material Technology Program participated in an engaging Global Classroom session led by Dr. Nurul Huda Binti Abu Bakar and invited speaker, Dr. Mohammad R. Thalji, a researcher from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH). The session provided a unique insight into the world of advanced materials research, focusing on thin films technology and its applications in energy storage.
Dr. Mohammad R. Thalji introduced students to the dynamic research environment at KENTECH, highlighting cutting-edge facilities and collaborative projects in renewable energy and nanotechnology. His major focus was in developing supercapacitors for high-performance energy storage using various deposition techniques. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students explored career paths in thin films research and international collaboration opportunities.
