Penilai Luar Menyokong Kemajuan Program Sarjana Muda Kimia Industri, Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri

Pada 21 Jun 2024, Jumaat, telah diadakan mesyuarat bersama penilai luar, Prof. ChM. Dr. Mohd Basyaruddin bin Abdul Rahman dari Universiti Putra Malaysia, untuk program Sarjana Muda Kimia Industri. Mesyuarat ini bermula pada pukul 9 pagi dan berakhir pada pukul 4.30 petang, dengan tujuan utama menilai kualiti akademik program agar mematuhi ketetapan badan akreditasi yang berkaitan. Selain itu, mesyuarat ini juga bertujuan mendapatkan pandangan tentang kesesuaian program dan kurikulum dengan keperluan industri semasa dan masa hadapan.
 

Penilai luar telah diberikan dokumen berkaitan akademik program bermula awal Jun 2024 untuk semakan awal. Dalam mesyuarat kali ini, beberapa pelajar dan pensyarah turut ditemubual bagi mendapatkan input yang berguna. Sesi lawatan makmal turut diadakan untuk mendapatkan pandangan dan cadangan mengenai kemudahan fizikal, peralatan, perisian, serta bahan pembelajaran dan pengajaran program.

Ketua program berkesempatan membentangkan rancangan hala tuju program kepada penilai luar untuk mendapatkan maklumbalas sebagai asas kepada semakan kurikulum masa hadapan. Penilai luar juga memberi pandangan berharga mengenai kualiti program akademik dan mencadangkan perancangan untuk penambahbaikan program. Laporan akhir dari penilai luar dijangka memberikan panduan yang komprehensif tentang langkah-langkah yang perlu diambil untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan lagi program Sarjana Muda Kimia Industri agar lebih relevan dan berdaya saing di masa hadapan.
 
Melalui penilaian dan maklumbalas ini, diharapkan program akan terus berkembang dan memenuhi keperluan industri, memastikan para graduan mempunyai kemahiran dan pengetahuan yang diperlukan untuk berjaya dalam bidang kimia industri.
 

 

On June 21, 2024, Friday, a meeting was held with the external assessor, Prof. ChM. Dr. Mohd Basyaruddin bin Abdul Rahman from Universiti Putra Malaysia, for the Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry program. The meeting commenced at 9:00 AM and concluded at 4:30 PM. The primary aim of this meeting was to evaluate the academic quality of the program to ensure compliance with the standards set by the relevant accreditation bodies. Additionally, the meeting sought to gather opinions on the program's and curriculum's relevance to current and future industry needs.

The external assessor was provided with the relevant academic documents of the program starting early June 2024 for preliminary review. During this meeting, several students and lecturers were interviewed to obtain valuable input. A lab visit was also conducted to gather opinions and suggestions regarding the physical facilities, equipment, software, and teaching and learning materials of the program.

The program leader had the opportunity to present the program's roadmap to the external assessor to receive feedback as a basis for future curriculum review. The external assessor provided valuable insights into the academic program's quality and suggested plans for program improvement. The final report from the external assessor is expected to offer comprehensive guidance on the necessary steps to further enhance and improve the Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry program, making it more relevant and competitive in the future.

Through this evaluation and feedback, it is hoped that the program will continue to develop and meet industry needs, ensuring that graduates possess the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the field of industrial chemistry.
